How Jay Cutler shut me the hell up!!

Being a diehard Bears fan for my entire life, I was beyond excited to see that the Bears traded to get Jay Cutler in the summer of 2009, the Bears had finally had a franchise quarterback.  Then my excitement turned into frustration and disgust during the 2009 season, Cutler just seemed like a guy that didn’t care about the team or the ball, throwing INTs. like he was making it rain.  His facial expression and his body language just made it seemed like he wanted out of here  ASAP.  Then came the 2010 when Cutler settled down  somewhat, but still had a couple of terrible games where you just weren’t for sure if he was guy, and to be fair to him that O-line was just about as bad as the NFL has ever seen.  Then came the infamous NFC title game Cutler was struggling and the Bears looked terrible, then randomly in the second half TODD COLLINS  comes on the filed and we are watching like WTF did Cutler just bench himself.  I was so mad, here we are in the mist of a possible Superbowl run and you don’t come out because of your knee.  At that point I was done, again I felt like the Bears were just a stepping stone and I joined the chorus of many people who felt he should’ve played.

But in 2011 Cutler shut me the hell up!! Not only with his play, but with attitude. Cutler is never going to be the guy that smiles in your face and tell you  how great you are.  He’s going to out there and play, he’s going to take sacks get up and throw an awesome Touchdown pass. He’s the guy that’s going to jaw at the opponent and tell Mike Martz to F* off and you know what I Looooooooove it. I shut the hell up talking about his mechanics and his attitude who am I judge. He’s the best qb the bears have had in over 15 years (no offense Jim Miller), but because of him we are competitive in every game. I had to realize I can’t make Cutler be Brady and nor should he be.  He is who is and who he is, is a damn good quarterback.  The only people who have to like him are his teammates and they do like him they rally around him anytime the media comes with something negative.   That’s why this thumb injury sucks on all levels.  I felt the Bears were hitting their stride just at the right time and in the right place.  Cutler could’ve been in the discussion for MVP and it just terrible for him that this had to happen.  I really have come around on Cutler and other people should too.  Not that he cares or even has to care, but I just want to thank Cutler for giving a Bear fan something to cheer about. *Please leave your comments.
