NFL Predictions 2012-2013

We are officially two days away from the beginning of the NFL season. Here’s a division breakdown of what team will win their division and who has a chance at the wildcard spots! I don’t know about you guys but I am ready for some football!!!!!!!!!

NFC North: This by far is the hardest division to call with the Bears going through some serious offensive upgrades and Jay Cutler hopefully being healthy this season-the Bears could give the favorite Packers a run for their money. Of course you can’t count out Detroit and their high-powered offense, but their defensive, lack of discipline and youth could all count against them in their first season with real expectations. Vikings are clearly rebuilding mode and who knows where Adrian Peterson will be this year coming off a tough ACL tear. With all that being said this division belongs to the ….
PACKERS!!!!!!! Aaron Rodgers is just too good. But I do have my Bears as a Wildcard and not the Lions.

NFC EAST: Again this is another division that is impossible to call. Each year an NFC East team on paper looks like the odds on favorite to win the Superbowl. Though the Giants won it last year their road to Superbowl was not what was predicted. With that being said you can’t count the Giants out they always seemed to be in it even when their not in it. This year is really make or break for the Cowboys-however this year they are not nearly as talented as years before and with every veteran receiving option hurt it maybe a long season for the Tony Romo and the Cowboys. The Eagles are mind-boggling frustrating they’re so hard to predict although they had a disappointing season last year they showed sparks of what they could become. The biggest issue holding the Eagles back is Michael Vick and  his injury problems no team can develop a consistently winning formula when their quarterback is in and out of every other play. Finally, you have the Redskins who will be competitive and exciting this year with the addition of RG3, but I can’t place too many expectations on a rookie quarterback. So who will win this division…….Giants- but who really knows. A NFC wild card will come from this division!!!!

NFC SOUTH: This division will be closely watched because of the Saints bounty gate scandal. The Saints have a good team, but losing your head coach for a year can only be a rally cry for so long. The Falcons are boring but good enough to win the division, the Panther are still a year or two away from being a legit playoff contender, and the Bucs have a rookie coach and just aren’t that talented. The Division winner for the NFC South….Falcons.

NFC WEST: This division probably the easiest to call-the 49ers should win this division with no problem. Seahawks could’ve made waves, but starting Russell Wilson is somewhat of a puzzling move.  Winner of this division will be the 49ERS.

AFC NORTH:  Steelers will win this division-the organization is too well run. Ravens are older and hurt on defense with T-Suggs not playing to at least the 6th game. The Ravens will probably be a wild card team this year. The Browns and the Bengals are too young to really compete with the powerhouses of this division. -Steelers win without much competition

AFC EAST: How the hell did the Patriots get the easy schedule again. Seriously their division is next to terrible and they only play 4 team that made the playoffs last year!!!! This is again a road paved in gold for the golden boy Tom Brady to capture that elusive 4th Superbowl ring. The Jets are a joke -I’m sorry that team offensively is terrible and Rex Ryan is out of a job this year if they don’t win-which they won’t. Bills are still the Bills, and after watching Hardknocks I’d be surprised if the Dolphins win 4 games. -Patriots -the division is theirs to lose.

AFC South: Texans have a good defense-their QB Schaub and WR Andre Johnson will finally be healthy. Not much competition from Jacksonville, Colts with rookie Luck, or Tennessee with young QB Jake Locker. Texans this division is theirs if injuries don’t decimate them again.

AFC WEST: Peyton’s back!!!!! Peyton Manning makes his return to the NFL in a Broncos uniform nonetheless. I love Peyton Manning -in my humble opinion he is the greatest quarterback of all time.  With all that being said I still think the Chargers are the best team. I don’t know if this is the year where it will finally click for this team and they’ll put it all together to make a serious playoff run, but looking at Chiefs and the Raiders, the Chargers have the most intact team from last year and should be able to hit the ground running when the season starts. However, I would not be surprised if a wild card team does come from this division. But for the division win I’m going with the Chargers!!!!

*As always who you got!!!!!

Super Bowl Reaction!!

My Superbowl prediction was wrong, and I’m so happy it was.  As a self-proclaimed die-hard Patriot hater, and it was soooooo good to see them lose. If there is one Patriot my heart broke for it was team owner Robert Kraft who dedicated this season to his late wife.  Seeing him after the Hail Mary was deflected standing in that room alone was tear jerking, Kraft seems like a genuinely nice guy and just hope he and his family don’t take the lost too hard.  There are many questions left to be answered. Here are a couple of questions and observations that will be debated for the 7 months until the next meaningful football game is playing.

Is Tom Brady Overrated?: I don’t think he is overrated, he is still a first ballot Hall of Famer, and I don’t think this one game will change any of that.  It probably just make him hungrier.

The Patriots haven’t won a Superbowl since Spy-Gate.:  In the early and mid-2000′s it looked like nobody, I mean nobody was going to stop the Patriots. They had won 3 out of the last 4 Superbowls and since then they have not won Superbowl in nearly a decade.

The Bradshaw TD?: I don’t hate the TD like everybody else, I would’ve taken more time off the clock of course, but I rather be up by 4 than one.  Who knows what would’ve happen with a kick or another snap. So taking the TD and trust your D.

Gronk was Hurt: I was a little surprised about how gingerly Gronk was playing on that ankle. Throughout the whole week I really thought Gronk was going ok and be effective he was just opposite it really cost the Pats the game in my opinion.

Eli is Elite: Eli deserved his second MVP, he was lights out absolutely amazing in this game. No turnovers, cool, calm, and collected throughout the entire game.  Even when the Patriots scored 17 unanswered points. Eli did not get rattled, didn’t try to do too much, and was clutch throughout the entire 4th quarter.  I was absolutely amazed by his quiet but great Superbowl performance.

Giselle hate Pats receivers: http://thebiglead.com/index.php/2012/02/06/gisele-rips-patriots-receivers-for-dropped-passes-after-super-bowl-loss-video/- just think this is hilarious Tom Brady’s wife goes in Pats receivers. This is particularly funny after email.

Can they Play Already: Story lines I’m sick of leading up to Big Game

The two weeks between the Conference Championships and the Superbowl are tortures for any football fan.  There made even more torturous when you continually hear the same DAMN stories over and over again.  My goodness I can’t wait for them to play this freakin’ game. So here’s a list of the top 5 stories I’m sick of!!!!!

5. All thing Ochocinco: Dear America, Ochocinco has only caught 15passes this whole year. I know Belichick is a genius, but there is no way he is saving Ochocinco for this secret master play to win the Superbowl so can the conspiracies stop!!!!

4. Peyton Manning and Colts: There is no bigger Peyton Manning fan than me, but I can bet Manning himself is sick of everyone playing GM or doctor.  No one knows if his neck is healthy, no one knows if Manning is going to retire so can we please stop interviewing Irsay and Manning every five minutes to keep asking them questions they have no answer for. Geesh.

3. Is Eli and Elite QB: I literally can not hear this question anymore.  This question has been asked from the beginning of the season and each week before every game everybody says if he wins this game than he is an elite QB.  Eli is great QB with a chance to win a second Superbowl can the discussion of his body language and his older brother please stop.  His career is far from over so lets just see how it all plays out.

2. All things Tom Brady: Tom Brady is one of the greatest Qb’s to ever play. So I think it’s absolutely crazy to think that his entire football legacy rest on if he wins this one game. I’m sure Brady Hall of Fame jacket is already fitted so we can calm down with the hysteria over his performance of this game.

1. Gronk’s Ankle: He’s going to play and be effective. End of story.

Man I can’t wait til Sunday!!!!!!

Divisional Round Picks.

Earlier this week one of us picked the divisional round games, now its my turn. For the record I WILL NOT BE PICKING THE TEBOW VS PATRIOTS game I can’t do that this week, because I’m done with the emotional roller coaster that is Tebow and the Denver Broncos, and most importantly I don’t want to look like an idiot again. Saying that there still a ton of interesting match-ups that I will pick.

Saints vs. 49ers: The 49ers are a really good team, not flashy but do everything pretty well. Saying that I don’t think that they can keep up with Brees during this game. I know 49ers have this amazing defense, but this team is terrible in the red zone, David Akers will not be kicking them to a conference championship. The 49ers have to score and they have score big, I don’t see that happening this week. So I’m going with the SAINTS.

Ravens vs. Texans: Who doesn’t want to see Terrell Suggs go up against Tebow(kind just told you guys my pick). I don’t think Texans have enough to beat Ravens at home, saying that still think it’ll be close.
Still going with the RAVENS.

Packers vs. Giants: I know the Giants are hot sexy pick right now, but please don’t forget about the Packers. Aaron Rodgers should be the MVP, and there offense is absolutely unstoppable. The Giants secondary isn’t great and even if the Giants front four plays lights out Aaron Rodgers gets rid of the ball to quickly for it matter. Needless to say I’m going PACKERS.
